PROLOGUE On Friday, February 12, 2010, Dr. Amy Bishop, an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Alabama Huntsville ("UAH"), opened fire during a faculty meeting, killing three of her colleagues and injuring three others. Authorities arrested Bishop on the scene and later charged her with capital murder. Circumstances indicated that Bishop's mortal attack stemmed from the decision of the University in April 2009 to deny her tenure. Several of the individuals she targeted at the meeting had been involved in that decision. (1)
